Many providers don’t explain why they are ordering a test or what a “biomarker” is.

• Cancer.net: Run by the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), this site provides “doctor-approved” information that is strictly educational. It’s great for looking up specific tests (like PET scans or liquid biopsies) to see what the standard of care actually is.

LUNGevity / GO2 for Lung Cancer: While lung-specific, these organizations are leaders in “Biomarker Literacy.” They provide kits to help patients ask the right questions about molecular testing before they start treatment.
